Fettuccine Alfredo

Ingredients

  • 12 ounce package fettuccine
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1-1/2 cups Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 cup heavy or whipping cream
  • 1 to 2 egg yolks

Directions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions and drain.

  2. Meanwhile, in a small sauce pan, melt butter over medium heat.

  3. Gradually stir in cheese, then cream and yolks until well blended.

  4. Continue heating sauce, stirring constantly, just to boiling point.

  5. Remove from heat.

  6. Add sauce to hot cooked pasta and toss lightly.
