Ingredients
- 4 round small blocks of gula melaka
- 250 ml water
- Dissolve the gula melaka in the water and cool. Bottle for later use.
- 250 ml of the above syrup
- 50 ml coconut milk
- 300 gm SR flour (flour must be sieved)
- 1 egg - lightly beaten
Directions

Mix a little syrup with the egg and flour till smooth.

Alternately add flour and syrup and mix in one direction.

Stand 1/2 hour.

Boil 1/2 pot water till boiling.

Fill paper cups the mixture to brim.

Used a spatula (dipped in oil) to cut a cross from the top to the bottom of the cake batter after pouring the batter into muffin cups

Steam in HIGH heat 20 mins.

Water must remain boiling throughout.
