Banana Nut Bread

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup butter
  • 2 1/2 cups sifted flour
  • 1 2/3 cups sugar
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 cups (3) sieved bananas
  • 2/3 cup buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2/3 cups chopped nuts

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350.

  2. Mix the butter with the dry ingredients.

  3. Add the bananas and half of the butter milk and mix until all of the flour is wet.
  4. Beat for 2 minutes.

  5. Add the rest of the milk and the eggs.
  6. Fold in nuts.

  7. Bake in 2 9" pans or in muffin tins for about 30-35 minutes.
