Danish Dessert

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 pkg. 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup powder sugar
  • 4 cups cool whip

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to375°F.

  2. Mix flour, brown sugar and butter like pie dough. Add nuts if desired.

  3. Place in 9×13 pan and bake 15 minutes. Cool and re-crumble.

  4. Make Cream filling of cream cheese, powdered sugar, and cool whip—blend well until creamy.

  5. Divide crumbs in half. Put half on bottom of dripper pan. Spread cream filling over crumbs. Sprinkle remaining crumbs on top.

  6. Top with Danish Dessert (cooled) and fruit (if desired). Refrigerate until ready to serve. It is best if refrigerated overnight so that it is set solid.
