Ingredients
- 15 C. all-purpose flour
- 9 1/2 C. sugar
- 1 1/2 C. cornstarch
- 7 1/2 T. baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 3/4 C. shortening
Directions

In a large bowl, blend all dry ingredients until well mixed. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Store in an airtight container in a cool dry place. Mixture will keep 2-3 months. Makes about 25 1/2 cups mix.

VARIATIONS:

YELLOW CAKE – combine 5 C. cake mix, 1 1/4 C. milk, and 1 tsp. vanilla extract. Beat well. Add 3 eggs, one at a time, mixing well between each additional egg. Pour into 2 greased and floured 8-9" pans. Bake at 350 deg for 35-40 minutes.

WHITE CAKE – follow directions for yellow cake except simply use only the white of the eggs.
