Lemon Squares

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks butter
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 eight ounce cream cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 packages French's lemon pie filling
  • 9 ounce Cool Whip
  • chopped walnuts

Directions

  1. Make pie filling according to directions and allow to coo completely

  2. Prepare the crust with the first 3 ingredients.

  3. Press into an 11 × 17 cookie sheet.

  4. Bake for 15 minutes in preheated 350 degree oven and cool completely

  5. Whip cream cheese and sugar

  6. Spread over cooled crust

  7. Spread cooled pie filling on top of cream cheese mixture

  8. Top with cool whip and chopped nuts

  9. Refrigerate
