Vanilla Caramel Walnut Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 2 T. butter
  • 1/2 vanilla bean
  • 1/2 cup walnuts toasted

Directions

  1. Toast walnuts in a dry saute pan on medium heat for about 4-5 minutes or until the nuts begin to release their oils and look slightly toasted, set aside.

  2. In a small sauce pan combine the remainder of ingredients and cook on med-high heat until it boils, then stir in nuts and take off heat. Let sauce cool until warm.
