Ingredients
- 15 1/2 oz can red kidney beans, drained
- 15 oz can great northern beans, drained
- 14 1/2 oz can tomatoes, cut up (I use petite diced)
- 8 oz tomato sauce
- 3/4 cup chopped green pepper
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 TBSP chili powder
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp dried basil
- 2 cloves of garlic minced, or 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1 cup of water
Directions

In a large saucepan combine all of the above ingredients. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmered, covered, for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Top each serving with ½ cup hot cooked rice. (Minute Rice works fine!)
