Orange Chicken and Almond Rice

Ingredients
- 3 lb chicken parts
- 1/2 t pepper
- 2/3 c orange juice
- 1 T cornstarch
- 1/2 c chicken broth
- 1 whole orange (thinly sliced with slices cut in half)
- 1/2 t seasoned salt
- 3 T brown sugar
- 1/4 t salt
- 1/8 t ground ginger
- 1/3 c orange marmelade
- butter and shortening (for frying)
Directions

Rub chicken pieces with salt and pepper. Brown in pot starting with fax mix of 2 T and add as needed.

Drain excess fat.

Combine remaining ingredients (except orange slices and rice) and add to chicken.

Cover and simmer 10 minutes longer. Serve with almond rice. (see other recipe)
