Oreo Cream Pie

This is a family favorite – I am always asked to give this as a birthday gift!

Serves 6 people
Ingredients
- 41 Oreo cookies Separated (10 for filling, 26 for crust* and the rest for garnish)
- 1/4 cup butter, melted* (don't need this if you purchase a ready made crust)
- 24 marshmallows
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1-1/2 cups heavy cream, whipped
- *Oreo cookie pie crusts (optional)

Coarsley chop 10 cookies; set aside.

Crust:

Finely roll 26 cookies. Combine cookie crumbs and butter; press evenly onto bottom and side of 9-inch pie plate. Chill while preparing filling. (If you don’t want to make your own crust, you can purchase Oreo cookie pie crusts already made. they can be found in the baking aisle next to the graham cracker pie crusts).

Filling:

In 2-quart saucepan, over medium heat, stir marshmallows and milk until melted and smooth; cool completely. Fold 2 cups whipped cream into cooled marshmallow mixture; fold in the 10 coarsely chopped cookies. Spoon into prepared pie crust. Chill 4 hours or until firm.

To serve, garnish with remaining whipped cream and cookies.
