Parson’s Lasagne

Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 lb. ground pork sausage
- 1/2 c. chopped onions
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. leaf oregano
- 1 tsp. basil
- 1 tsp. parsley flakes
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 2 cans (8oz.) tomato sauce
- 1 can (6oz.) tomato paste
- 1 jar (2 1/2 oz.) sliced mushrooms, drained
- 1/2 lb. lasagna noodles
- 1 carton (12oz.) small curd cottage cheese
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 T. milk
- 2 pkg. (4 oz. each) shredded mozzarella
Directions

Brown meat, onion and garlic in large skillet; drain; mix in seasonings.

Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, sliced mushrooms.

Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.

Cook noodles according to package directions; drain.

Mix cottage cheese, egg and milk.

Alternate 2 layers each of noodles, cottage cheese filling, meat sauce and mozzarella cheese in deep baking pan 9″ × 13″ as shown below.

Bake at 375 for 45 minutes
