Ingredients
- 3/4 cup butter
- 2 1/4 flour
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs at room temperature
- 2 ounces chocolate squares
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 3/4 cup buttermilk
Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Grease and flour cake pan(s).

Melt butter and chocolate over low heat.

Combine flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, and salt.

Add chocolate mixture, buttermilk, and eggs.

Beat on low speed for 1 minute, then increase to high for 2 minutes.

Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
