Sangrita Rooster Tail

Traditional Mexican drink. Two part cocktail—take a sip of sangrita, then follow with a sip of tequila.

Ingredients

  • Sangrita:
  • 1/3 cup tomato juice
  • 1/2 lime, juice of
  • 2/3 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • Tabasco sauce (1-2 dashes or to taste)
  • Tequila shot:
  • premium tequila , to taste (Commerativo or Herradura)

Directions

  1. Mix all the sangrita ingredients together and chill for at least 2 hours (needs to be very cold).

  2. Serve the sangrita in highball glasses (can garnish with a fresh chile pepper and a sprinkle of cumin).

  3. Serve the tequila in shot glasses beside the rosy sangrita.
