Aromatic Whole Roasted Chicken

Delicious roasted chicken to last all week, and so moist and tender.

Cook time: 240 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground pepper (try a mix of white and black)
  • 1-2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 onion (white or yellow)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 275 – 300 degrees F

  2. Clean out the chicken and pat dry.

  3. Rub olive oil all over the chicken and on the inside

  4. Prepare the dry rub by combining all of the dry ingredients above. Then coat the chicken with the dry rub on the inside and the outside. Chop the onion into fourths and place inside the chicken for baking.

  5. Let chicken bake on roasting pan for approximately 4 hours, but make sure to check the internal temperature to ensure it is done. (Also can use an aluminum roasting pan with a few tbsp of water).
