Susan’s Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients

  • Mix together:
  • 1 cup butter
  • 3 cups warm water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • Then Add:
  • 4 eggs
  • 8 cups flour (1/2 of the flour and salt; then remaining 1/2 of flour.
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • Dough will be thicker than pancake batter but thinner than bread batter.
  • Do not let rise at this point.
  • Break into hunks and roll into rectangles. This will take 4-6 times to use all the dough. The rectangles will be about 1/2” thick.

Directions

  1. Filling:

  2. 1 stick of butter

  3. Add white sugar and cinnamon.

  4. Fill rectangles with the filling, set in greased pan, cover and let rise for 3-4 hours (the logs will be close to doubled.) Slice into 1-1-1/2 inch slices.

  5. Bake at 375 for 20-30 minutes.

  6. Glaze:

  7. ½ stick butter

  8. 1 lb. powdered sugar

  9. 1 tsp. vanilla

  10. ¼ cup cinnamon

  11. Coffee

  12. While warm glaze rolls. Let them cool completely and then you can freeze.
