Toll House Pie

(from largomason’s recipe box)

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter, room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 6 oz semi sweet chocolate chips (Or mini chocolate chips)
  • 1 pie crust (homemade or store bought)

Directions

  1. Prepare pie crust according to instructions, or set out store bought pie crust to thaw.
  2. Preheat oven to 325.

  3. In a medium bowl, beat eggs on medium speed until foamy.
  4. Add flour, sugar, brown sugar, salt, and vanilla. Beat until well blended.
  5. Cut butter into 1 inch cubes. Then blend in butter.
  6. On low speed, mix in chocolate chips.
  7. Pour pie filling into prepared crust and smooth it out with a spoon or rubber spatula.
  8. Bake pie at 325 for 1 hour.
  9. Let pie cool and serve with ice cream.
