Ingredients
- Veg oil
- 1 lb fish fillets or large shrimp (no shells)
- 3-4 T bisquick baking mix
- 1 c bisquick baing mix
- 1/2 c beer
- 1/4 t salt
- 1 egg
Directions

at oil 1 1/2 inches in heavy saucepan or deep fryer to 350. Lightly coat fish with 3-4 T baking mix. Mix remaining ingredients with hand beater or wire whisk until smooth (if batter is too thick, add beer 1 T at a time). Dip fish into batter, letting excess drip into bowl. Fry fish about 2 min on each side or until golden brown. Drain. Serve hot and if desired with tartar sauce.
