Ingredients
- 1 med head cabbage
- 1c chopped onion
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 14.5 oz can diced tomato
- 14.5 oz crushed tomato
- 4 garlic cloves
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1c cooked rice
- 1/4c ketchup
- 2 tbsp worcestershire
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/4 lb italian sausage
- 1/2c V8
Directions

In a dutch oven, cook cabbage in boiling water for 10-12 minutes. Rinse in cold water. Remove 8 large outer leaves. Reserve the rest for another meal/recipe.

Saute 3/4 of the onion in butter. Add the tomato, garlic, brown sugar and 1/2 tsp salt. Simmer 15 min.

In a bowl- mix the rice through pepper, remaining onion & salt. Crumble beef and sausage over, and mix well.

Place 1/2c meat mix on each leaf, fold in the sides, and roll up. Place seam side down in a skillet.

Top with sauce and cook on medium low for 1 hour. Add the V8, reduce to low, and cook for 20 min/160 degrees.
