Vodka Cream Pasta

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 2 minced shallots
  • 1c vodka
  • 1c chicken broth
  • 32 oz crushed tomato
  • S&P
  • 16 oz pasta
  • 1/2c heavy cream
  • 20 shredded basil leaves
  • shredded parm

Directions

  1. Cook garlic & shallots in oil & butter on medium heat for 4 min. Add vodka- 2 min. Add broth and tomato. Bubble & simmer. Season.

  2. Cook pasta.

  3. Add cream to sauce. Remove from heat when bubbly. Drain pasta, add to sauce with basil.

  4. Garnish with parm.
