Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs lean ground beef
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 medium yellow onion, chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 bottle beer
- 1/2 cup canned low sodium beef broth
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 2-3 tbsp chili powder
- 1.5 tbsp ground cumin
- 4 good shakes Tabasco sauce
- Kosher salt, to taste
Directions

In a deep frying pan or saucepan, brown ground beef in olive oil over medium-high heat. Add onion and garlic. Cook until onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.

Add beer, broth, tomatoes, seasonings and salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer until ready to serve.
