Bourbon Orange Pecan Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 6 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 large eggs
  • 3 Tbsp bourbon
  • 1 Tbsp grated orange peel
  • 1 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups pecan halves

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350*

  2. Whisk brown sugar, corn syrup and melted butter in large bowl to blend.

  3. Whisk in eggs one at a time. Stir in bourbon, grated orange peel, vanilla, and salt.

  4. Place pecans in bottom of pan and cover with filling.

  5. Bake uncovered for 35 minutes. Cover with foil and bake for an additional 20-30 minutes. Top should be puffed and cracking a little and move a little when shaken.
