Walnut and Dried Fruit Bars

Ingredients
- 1 cup quick cooking oats
- 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/4 toasted wheat germ
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1/4 cup canola oil
- 1 egg beaten
- 1 egg white
- 3/4 cup chopped dried fruit
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Directions

Preheat oven to 350

Spray 8 × 8 baking pan

Mix oats, flour, wheat germ, cinn, salt

Whisk together honey, applesauce, oil, eggs and stir in oatmeal mixture – add fruit

Spread in pan and bake 30 – 35 minutes

Can brush top with fruit only preserves while hot

Cool and cut into 12 bars
