Ingredients
- 2 cakes yeast
- 1/2 cup water, warm
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 Tbsp shortening
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 7 cups flour
- 1 1/2 cups boiling water
Directions

Combine yeast in warm water with a small amount of sugar

Combine sugar, salt, shortening and boiling water

Add eggs and yeast

Stir in flour; mix well

Cover and let rise

Punch down; let rise again

Form

Brush with butter and let rise again.

Bake at 400° for 20 – 25 minutes.
