Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 2/3 cups sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp flavoring (vanilla, almond or rum

Directions

  1. Work butter until creamy; beat in sugar and eggs, one at a time

  2. When creamy, fold in flour with spoon

  3. Spread in buttered and floured loaf pan

  4. Bake 1 ½ hours at 300°
