Ingredients
- 2 c granulated sugar
- 1 c light corn syrup
- 1 c water
- 2 c raw Spanish peanuts
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 3/4 tsp salt
Directions

Heat & stir sugar, syrup, & water in a heavy 3 quart sauce pan until sugar dissolves.

Cook over medium heat to a soft boil stage. (234 degrees)

Add nuts & salt & cook to hard crack stage. (305 degrees)

Stir often.

Remove from heat & quickly stir in butter & baking soda.

Pour at once onto 2 well buttered 15 1/2 × 10 1/2 × 1 inch pans while spreading with a spatula.
