Ingredients
- 2 large yams, peeled and cut into 1/2 - inch thick rounds
- 1 cup chicken stock
- 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne
- Juice of one lime
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 1/2 teaspoon salt

Place sliced yams, stock, and butter in slow cooker

Cover adn cook on low for 6 to 7 hours

When yams are tender, smash with a potato masher

Add the remaining ingredients, stir, and serve

Top with sour cream if desired
