Kitchen Sink Crunchers

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup toffee pieces
  • 3/4 cup sweetened flake coconut
  • 3/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips.

Directions

  1. at oven to 350. Line 13 × 9 × 2 inch baking pan with foil; coat with nonstick cooking spray. In medium size saucepan, melt together butter and brown sugar. Let cool slightly.

  2. Whisk egg and vanilla into butter mixture. In medium size bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt and cinnamon. Whisk into butter mixture. Stir in toffee bits, 1/2 cup coconut, 1/2 cup pecans and all of the chocolate chips. Spread into pan.

  3. Press remaining coconut and chopped pecans evenly into top of bar.

  4. Bake in 350 degree oven until set in center, 25 to 30 minutes. Let cool in pan on wire rack for 15 minutes. Remove from pan to rack; let cool completely.
