Ingredients
- 1/2 medium head lettuce, shredded
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 1/2 cup chopped red or green pepper
- 3/4 cup chopped Spanish onion
- 1/2 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen peas, cooked & drained
- 1 cup mayo
- 1 Tablespoon sugar
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 strips bacon, cooked and chopped
Directions

In large salad bowl, arrange lettuce, celery, pepper, onion and peas in layers.

Spread mayo evenly over peas. Sprinkle with sugar, then with cheese.

Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight.

Sprinkle with bacon just before serving.
