Schwan Rasam

Ingredients

  • Powder 1 tsp pepper and 1 tsp cumin

Directions

  1. Soak red chillies(6-8) in hot water for 10min and grind with garlic(5cloves) into paste.

  2. Splutter mustard, asafaetida in oil and add the above paste. Saute for a while until raw smell is gone.

  3. Add curry leaves, 3 chopped tomatoes & saute. Add little coriander leaves and tamarind paste to it. Boil for 2min.

  4. Add cooked toordal with water,pepper cumin powder(equal amount),curry leaves and coriander leaves.

  5. Once it boils add 1 tsp water and stitch off the flame.
