Ingredients

• 2 C all-purpose flour
• 2 C sugar
• 1/2 C baking cocoa
• 2 tsp baking soda
• 1 tsp baking powder
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1 C vegetable oil
• 1 C buttermilk
• 2 eggs
• 1 C hot water

Directions

1. In a large bowl, combine dry ingredients. Stir in oil, buttermilk and eggs. Add water and stir until combined. Pour into a greased 9 × 13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-38 minutes or until toothpick inserted near middle comes out clean. Cool completely. Frost when cooled.
