Peanut Butter Mistletoe Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 1/3 cups quick-cooking oats
  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup creamy or chunky peanut butter
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 72 chocolate candy drops (kisses), unwrapped

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In medium bowl, combine oats, flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, beat peanut butter and butter with electric mixer on medium speed until smooth. Add both sugars, eggs and vanilla. Beat until well combined.
  4. Stir in flour mixture. Drop dough by level tablespoonful on baking sheets, about 2 inches apart. Bake 13 minutes or until golden. Remove from oven and immediately press a chocolate drop firmly in center of each cookie. Let stand 5 minutes before removing to wire rack to cool completely.
