Ingredients
- 2 lbs. cranberries (about 8 cups)
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 orange with peel, seed and finely chopped
- 1/2 cup orange juice (or substitute 1/2 cup orange liqueur)
Directions
- In a 6-8 quart saucepan, combine sugar and water over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. Add remaining ingredients and bring mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally. Boil, stirring constantly, until cranberries pop and mixture thickens (about 7-10 minutes).
- Immediately ladle mixture into hot pint jars, leaving 1/2-inch headspace. Carefully run a non-metallic spatula down inside jars to remove air bubbles. With a damp cloth, wipe jar tops and threads clean. Place hot lids on jars and screw bands on firmly. Process in boiling water canner for 10 minutes.
