Dilled Green Beans for canning

Ingredients

  • 3 lb. green beans (about 3 quarts)
  • 6 cups vinegar
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup salt
  • 6 bunches dill
  • 6 small cloves of garlic
  • 6 very small, hot red peppers

Directions

  1. Wash beans after removing stem end. Heat vinegar, water, and salt to boiling. In each sterilized jar, place a piece of dill, pod of pepper, and cloves of garlic.
  2. Pack beans in jars to within 1 inch of top. heat the vinegar, water and salt to boiling, and pour over beans. Seal and process 5 minutes in boiling water. Remove, cool and store.
