Ingredients
- 7 lb. Seckel pears
- 1 Tbsp. cinnamon
- 1 Tbsp. allspice
- 1 Tbsp. cloves
- 1 oz. ginger root
- 1 pint vinegar
- 3 1/2 lb. sugar
Directions
- Peel pears leaving stems on. Tie spices in a bag and add to vinegar water and sugar, and boil mixture 5 minutes. Add pears a few at a time and cook until tender and clear. Place pears in a jar, in syrup and seal.
