Ingredients
- 1 lb ground sirloin
- 2 tbsp dill pickle relish
- 2 tbsp steak sauce
- 1 tbsp McCormick Montreal Steak Seasoning
- 2 tsp paprika
- drizzle of olive oil
- 3 tbsp butter, divided
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 8 slices rye bread
- 8 slices cheese
Directions
-
Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high.
-
Mix meat and relish, steak sauce, steak seasoning and paprika. Divide meat and form 4 large thin patties.
-
Add oil to pan and cook burgers 3-4 minutes on each side. Take patties out and add another drizzle of oil and 1 tbsp butter. When butter has melted into oil, try onions until just tender, 5 minutes. Slide onions onto patties.
-
Return pan to stove and add 1 tbsp butter and 2 slices of bread. Top each bread slice with a slice of cheese, a patty with onions, and another slice of cheese. Top each sandwich with another slice of bread and press the patty melts together. Cook 2-3 minutes on each side to set the sandwich and toast the bread.

Cut sandwiches from corner and corner.
