Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 lb. ground pork
- 1/2 jalapeno, minced
- 1/2 onion, minced
- 1/2 garlic clove, minced
- 2 tbsp. uncooked rice
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp ground allspice
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 15 oz. can diced tomatoes
- 1/2 jalapeno
- Pinch of thyme
Directions

Mix beef, pork, jalapeno, garlic, onion, rice, egg, oregano, allspice and salt; form into 1-inch balls. Bring chicken broth, tomatoes, jalapeno, and a pinch each of thyme and kosher salt to a simmer in a large skillet. Add the meatballs and simmer until cooked through, about 30 minutes. Serve in taco shells with toppings.
