vanilla cake- skillet

Ingredients

  • 8 T melted butter plus some for the pa1 C all purpose flour plus some for the pan
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 c whole milk
  • 1/4 c sour cream

Directions

  1. COMPOTE

  2. fruit

  3. 2/3 c sugar

  4. 1 tsp lemon zest

  5. 2 tsp fresh lemon juice

  6. 2 T cornstarch

  7. Make

  8. add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir until just incorporated

  9. Pour 2/3 of compote into bottom of prepared pan

  10. pour cake batter over that compote

  11. Use a knife and swirl in the remaining 1/3 compote

  12. bake-400 degrees for 25 minutes

  13. MAKEcompote

  14. mix ingredients all together and simmer over medium heat , stirring constantly, Just for a couple minutes

  15. Let cool
