  • extra-virgin olive oil
  • water
  • pearl barley
  • dried black beans
  • dried great northern beans
  • dried kidney beans
  • chili powder
  • ground cumin
  • dried oregano
  • salt

Vegetarian soup, low fat, low calories

ready in about two and a half hours; serves 4

  • Poultry Seasoning
  • 15oz can diced tomatoes
  • 15oz can diced tomatoes with green chiles
  • dried black-eyed peas
  • low-sodium vegetable broth
  • water
  • farfalle pasta
  • Shaved Parmesan curls for garnish
