From Web Site: Despite their appearance, these were really easy and quick to prepare. The dough was fabulous to work with, and requires just a 10 minute rise before you fill the pockets.
They are like mini apple pies… awesome. The dough is yeasty, and the apples are sweet — in my mind, that’s a delicious combination. These make the perfect dessert at holiday time because everyone wants just a little slice of all the desserts. These little guys are only 136 calories!

Once you’ve added the butter in step 3, if the dough is still sticking to the sides of the bowl after five minutes of mixing, add 2 to 4 tablespoons of extra flour. The test kitchen’s favorite loaf pan measures 8½ by 4½ inches; if you use a standard 9 by 5-inch loaf pan, start checking the babka for doneness after 40 minutes.
