Mom’s Chili

This chili was at many a family function as I grew up. Pair with cornbread for full memories. Can double and triple easily. Freeezes great.

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 -28 oz. can whole tomatoes in thick tomato puree
- 1 medium onion, chopped (about 3/4 cup)
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
- 1-2 tbsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. oregano, crushed
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 can(15-16 oz.) kidney beans, drained(1 3/4 cups)
Directions

In skillet or slow cooking pot with browning unit, cook meat on med-hi until it loses it’s pink color, Drain off fat. Dump into crock pot, add all ingredients and stir with a fork, breaking tomatoes into small pieces. Cook, covered, on hi for 3-4 hours.
