CInnamon Applesauce Salad

Lovely sweet sour effect. Particularly good on a hot summer day

Serves 9 people

Ingredients

  • Dissolve 2- 3 oz packages of lemon flavored gelatin and 1/2 C cinnamon candies (red hots) in 3 C boiling water. Stir in 2 C unflavored applesauce, 1 t lemon juice and a dash of salt.
  • Chill until partially set. Add 1/2 C broken walnuts. Pour into 8X8X2 inch pan. Blend 2 3 oz. packages of cream cheese (softened), 1/4 C milk and 2 T salad dressing. Spoon atop and swirl through salad to marble. Chill until firm. Cut into square servings.
