Ingredients
- 3 or 4 medium yams
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1/3 cup vinegar
- cinnamon
- butter
Directions

Cook yams in water until fork tender. Peel and slice lengthwise about 3/4 inch thick. Arrange yams in a glass dish. Mix sugars and water in a small saucepan. Cook to boiling. Simmer till syrupy (about 1/2 hour). Add vinegar 9do not boil after adding). Pour syrup over yams. Sprinkle with cinnamon and dot with butter. Bake at 350 for 30 to 45 minutes.
