Ingredients
- 8 cups rice cereal squares (such as Chex)
- 3.5 oz. package rice crackers, broken into bite-size pieces
- 2 cups crispy chow mein noodles
- 2 cups roasted edamame
- 1 cup unsalted roasted peanuts
- 4 tbsp. unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tbsp. Worcestershire
- 1 tbsp. toasted sesame oil
- 1/8 tsp chili oil
- 1 1/2 tsp Chinese five-spice powder
- 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 cups sesame sticks
Directions
-
Preheat oven to 250. Mix the cereal, crackers, noodles, edamame, and peanuts in a large bowl.
-
Microwave the butter in a medium microwave-safe bowl until melted. Stir in the soy sauce, Worcestershire, sesame oil, chili oil, five-spice powder and garlic powder.
-
Spread the cereal mixture on 2 baking sheets. Drizzle with the butter mixture and mix well with your hands.
-
Bake 1 hour, tossing every 15 minutes and rotating the pans halfway through; stir in the sesame sticks in the last 15 minutes of baking. The party mix is ready once everything is crispy and all the butter has been absorbed.
