1. Cut slits in a hot dog 2/3 of the way up. Put the hot dog in a pan of

2. boiling water. As it cooks its “arms” will curl up and it will

3. resemble an octopus. when we did this in the classroom, even the self-

4. acclaimed hot dog-haters wanted to try them :-) Serve wtih ketchup and

5. mustard and on a bed of coleslaw (“seaweed”), if desired.
