Ingredients
- 1 tb dry yeast
- 1/2 c warm water
- 1 1/4 c boiling water
- 2/3 c shortening
- 3/4 c sugar
- 3 c bread flour, sifted
- 2 eggs
- 2 c whole wheat flour
- 2 tsp salt
Directions

Dissolve yeast in ½ c warm water, set aside.

Pour boiling water over shortening. Add sugar. Stir. Beat in 2 c bread flour. Add eggs and beat. Add yeast & mix. Add whole wheat flour and salt. Add enough remaining bread flour while kneading to form a semi-stiff dough.

Let the dough rise in a covered well-greased cookie sheet and cover w/ cloth. Let rolls rise until doubled in size.

Preheat oven to 350 and bake rolls until golden brown, 12-15 mins.
