Tex Mex Salisbury Steak

Ingredients

  • 1 lb gr beef
  • 1/2 lb mild pork sausage
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 c mild salsa
  • 2 tb chopped cilantro
  • 1 pkg gravy
  • 1 can beef broth
  • 1 can diced tomatoes

Directions

  1. Combine first 7 ingreds and 1 tb cilantro. Shape mixture into 6 patties. Heat a lightly greased large nonstick skillet over MH heat. Add patties. Reduce heat to L, cover and cook 8-10 mins per side or until center is no longer pink. Remove from skillet and wipe pan clean.

  2. Whisk together gravy mix, broth, tomatoes, and remaining cilantro. Cook over M heat 1 min or until thickened. Return patties to skillet and cook until thoroughly heated. Remove from heat, serve.
