Creamy cheese and bacon vermicelli

Ingredients

  • 8 oz vermicelli
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions
  • 1 tbsp margarine or butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 oz cream cheese, cubed
  • 1-1/2 tsp dried parsley flakes
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 6 bacon slices, cooked crisply, crumbled
  • grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

  1. Cook and drain pasta according to package directions.

  2. In small saucepan, saute green onions in margarine.

  3. Add milk, cream cheese, parsley, and seasonings.

  4. Cook, stirring constantly over low heat until smooth and cheese is melted.

  5. Return cooked pasta to pan; toss with cream cheese mixture and bacon.

  6. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
