Steak Chicana

Incredible Portuguese/Hispanic comfort food. Thanks to my Dad for preparing this recipe so often when we were growing up.

Serves 6 people

Ingredients
- 3 pounds chuck roast
- 1 onion
- 1 bell pepper
- 1 can tomatoes, whole peeled
- 1 tablespoon Grandma's Spanish Pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 4 cloves garlic
- 6 flour tortillas
Directions

Cut the chuck roast into 2-inch cubes.

Brown the cubes of meat in a Dutch oven and drain off fat.

Add sliced onion, bell pepper, tomatoes, and seasonings.

Simmer for two hours on stove or overnight in slow cooker

Serve with tortillas and enjoy!
