Cranberry Salad

We have this at Thanksgiving.

Serves 10 people

Ingredients

  • 12 oz bag cranberries, coarsely chopped
  • 1 1/2 c sugar
  • 1 3 oz package cherry jello
  • 1 c finely chopped celery
  • 1 c chopped nuts
  • 1 c miniature marshmallows
  • 1 pt whipping cream, whipped

Directions

  1. Combine berries and sugar and let sit overnight.

  2. Pour liquid off and measure additional water to make 1 1/2 c liquid.

  3. Heat liquid to boiling. Add jello, cool in refrigerator until partially set.

  4. Mix in berries, celery, nuts, marshmallow and whipped cream.

  5. Refrigerate until firm.
