Pie Crust

Some pie’s call for the crust to be cooked first. If so, cook at 425 for 12 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/3 cup Crisco
  • pinch of salt
  • ice water

Directions

  1. Mix salt into flour.

  2. Cut Crisco into flour until the pea size.

  3. Slowly add water while mixing with finger until it forms a soft, fairly dry, ball.

  4. Pat into a disc.

  5. Add extra flour on both sides.

  6. Roll out to desired size on floured pastry cloth or board.

  7. Fold in half and transfer to pie pan.

  8. Turn edge under and crimp with fingers.
